Currently, the global economy more and more depends on oil, which is one the reasons why countries fight for it. The struggle is not only for land-based oil, but also for the oil found in the Arctic and Antarctic. This article explores the dynamics and structure of proved oil resources in the world, it also provides an assessment of the oil in the Arctic and Antarctic, oil consumption and provides an estimation of perspective exploration in the parts of the globe. The article also deals with the ways of rational oil resources use in the Arctic and Antarctic.
